The purpose of this paper is to suggest a noticing activity through memorization for low-intermediate level EFL college students. For this, three participants (A, B, & C) participated. Their English language proficiency levels were very low intermediate(C), low intermediate (A) and intermediate (B). The material was The Telescope, Flying Carpet, and the Magic Apple from The Storyhouse: Talmud (JEI English TV, 2017). After participants listened to and read this story, they took two tests: an oral memorization test and a writing memorization test, and had one interview. The results for A and B showed that most incorrect target forms from the oral memorization test were successfully recalled in the writing memorization test. On the other hand, C remembered 64% of the total mistakes. This indicates that A and B successfully noticed the target forms because they noticed the gap between the actual target forms in the material and mistakes or errors the participants made in uttering the target forms. For C, 64% was not enough for successful noticing. C asked many questions about the target forms while being interviewed, however. They needed metalinguistic explanations for his lack of knowledge. Through this case study, we came to the conviction that memorization activities are beneficial for low intermediate students.
