Effects of DIRFloortime？？ Therapy on Self-regulation, Functional Emotional Developmental Level and Resilience of Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of DIRFloortime？？ therapy on self-regulation, functional emotional development, and resilience of children with high-functioning autism spectrum disorders. Six children with a high-functioning autism spectrum disorders were selected as subjects; they were treated with DIRFloortime？？ treatment mediation program. With a quasi-experiment design, one group did pre and post-experiment design through the z verification on the significance level of .05. Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Signed Ranks Test was used as data analysis. There was a statistically significant difference (p<.05) between the self - regulation and the resilience functions after the program. Quality of social interaction and communication were clinically improved as well in functional emotional developmental capacities. DIRFloortime？？ therapy was effective in improving self-regulation, functional emotional development, and resilience of children with autism spectrum disorders.
