  • 542

Purpose : This study focuses on accident prevention and a descriptive investigation study to assess the nurse’s knowledge, degree of implementation and nursing about the use of physical restraints on protocols already developed and in use. Methods : A total of 330 participants were surveyed in this study. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression using the SPSS 21.0 program Results : Suppressor knowledge(B=1.17) and protocol implementation degree(B=.68) were found to have a static effect on nursing quality, and protocol implementation level(=.68) was found to have a greater impact on nursing quality than suppressor knowledge level(=.27). The degree of explanation that these variables have to account for the quality of care is 77.5% Conclusion : Changing attitudes and perceptions about the use of physical restraints by each nurse provider, the implementation of the physical suppression protocol, a guideline for nursing providers to apply without feeling the ethical or psychological burden, should be generalized, particularly by helping them make decisions on the use of physical restraints, and will be presented as a basis for the use of physical restraint data and as a basis for verifying that physical restraints are properly used.
