필로티 구조 건축물 화재사례를 통해본 Outer Flashover Mechanism 연구

A Study on Outer Flashover Mechanism in View of Pilotis Buildings Fire

도시의 인구 집중으로 인한 주택과 주차 문제 해결을 위해 필로티 구조 건축물이 증가하고 있다. 최근 인명피해가 발생한 대형화재의 공통점은 필로티 구조 건축물로서 화재특징은 순발연소와 화재 확산이다. 이는 Flashover와 유사하지만 발생 메커니즘에는 차이가 있다. 본 연구는 필로티 구조 건축물에서 발생하는 순발연소의 원인 규명과 발생 메커니즘을 정립하고 입증하여 Outer Flashover라 명하였으며 예방책을 제시하였다.

Pilotis building structures are increasingly being used to solve housing and parking problems due to the concentration of urban population. The most common features of large fires in recent years have been pilotis building structures where the fire had spread rapidly. This is similar to the flashover phenomenon but with different mechanisms. This study understands the mechanism behind the occurrence of flash fires in pilotis building structures, the phenomenon named ‘Outer Flashover’ to suggest ways of preventing it.
