DSP를 이용한 치료용 양이장단자극의 구현

Realization of Binaural Beat Stimulation for Therapy using DSP

Binaural beat stimulation for arousal control is designed using DSP(TMS320C31). The basic idea of binaural beats is that by applying slightly different frequency sine waves to each ear, a beating effect is created in the mind itself, due to the internal wiring of the brain. Your mind will naturally synchronize with the beat frequency. In this way it is possible to accurately get into various brain-states. The brain-states is represented on Electroencephalograph(EEG). In the EEG, it use a frequency modulation(FM)-sine wave pair of alpha rhythm in order to elevate arousal and use a FM-pink noise pair of delta rhythm in order to suppress arousal. The main objectives of the paper are twofold. The first is to provide an understanding of the FM-pink noise generation by changing the number of sampled signals at each period. Second objective is to generate binaural beat stimulation by hardware and software implementation of digital signal process.
