Relationship Between Internal Environment of Casino, Work Satisfaction and Customer Orientation

Recently the business environment for casinos in Korea has faced significant changes, and in particular, High 1 Resort which has a casino where Korean nationals are allowed to play is also facing a demand for changes in its operations. In accordance to such changes, this study aims to identify how the internal environment of a casino affects the level of satisfaction of its workers and how the workers adopt a customer-oriented attitude which affects the workers performance. According to the results of this study, communication, which is an important factor of the internal environment of a casino, plays an important role in the individual satisfaction of workers while the company policy affects job-related satisfaction. Individual satisfaction, which is a factor of job-related satisfaction, is an important factor that affects workmanship and performance while work-related satisfaction significantly affects work outcomes. Also, education policy, which is a part of the internal environment, is an important factor related to workmanship and performance which reflects job outcomes while the company policy is an important factor that affects work outcomes. Therefore, this study concludes that the manager should renew his understanding of inside customers of his casino based on analysis of the factors related to the internal environment.
