영어학습의 노출과 시간의 양, 그리고 동기에 관하여

A Study on Exposure & Time and Motivation in English Classrooms -A Suggestion on the English Program of Korea Polytechnics-

In this paper, we would like to put stress on three important conditions, i.e. the amount of exposure & time and motivation, for the effective English learning in the EFL circumstances like Korean English education. First, a high quantity of authentic and comprehensible input should be directed at learners in English classrooms. Second, Learners should be exposed to a high quantity of English utterances as much as possible during the appropriate time period. Third, the more motivation a learner has, the more time he or she will spend learning English. That is, the highly motivated learner can extend the exposure time to use English for communicative competence. We also suggest that the English program of Korea Polytechnics should be improved in terms of exposure & time, and motivation.
