Development of English Lesson Plan Using Theory of Situated Learning

This study shortly reviews the importance of English lesson plan and situated learning theory. The study is performed to notice the importance of lesson plan to process smooth progress of the English learning and improve actual English teaching-learning focusing on teaching inert knowledge. To upgrade the traditional English education, this study develops the lesson plan, concluding situated learning theory with cooperative learning and action learning. I concludes that situated learning theory is effective for English learners to improve their communicative skill which is the ultimate purpose of learning English. The lesson plan is used in the competition of the demonstrative learning-teaching method in Dankook University-Graduate School of education. I hopes the further research to deal with the effect of situated learning theory on the development of lesson plans in the real classroom.
