The Literature Survey of Excessive Infant Crying for Extended Korean Medical Treatment

Objectives: This study is to survey the literature of Korean medical treatment for excessive infant crying and to suggest the direction for improving Korean medical treatment for excessive infant crying. Methods: The search database includes Pubmed, CNKI-CAJ (China Academic Journal). In order to narrow the search, the terms were used: ‘colic/ excessive crying/ nocturnal crying/ night time crying, traditional treatment/ chinese medicine/ tranditional medicine/ oriental medicine/ Korean medicine’. The search was limited within the publication date between 2000 and 2014. Results & Conclusions: The studies research the recent literature of excessive infant cryingn and the Korean medical treatment seems to be effective for excessive infant crying. This study suggests the benefits of the extended Korean medical treatment for excessive infant crying.
