A Study on the Jacket Two-Piece Sleeve

The purpose of this study was to investigate the in method of patternmaking, fit in sleeve, acsthetic view, fashionableness in the four types two-piece sleeve under the controled situation. In order to conduct the experiment for the study, 5 persons who were well organized. another pannel were tested for fit in sleeve, aeshtetic view, fashionableness in the four types of two-piece sleeve in jacket under the controled situation. four sleeve patterns used by the scientific world and researchers and presenting the two-piece sleeve drawing method well able to express the humeral curved surface of the upper limbs of the human body. The results of this study were as followed : The central seam line of the sleeve turned back again in all of the 4 sleeve slopers. The phenomenon of the sleeve lifting up from the lower sleeve varied according to the volume of shrinkage of the circumferential line of the armhole width of the sleeve It was found that the volume of shrinkage in Sma’s method, in Ra sara’s method, in Oh Sun-hee’s method, and in Kim Hyo-suck’s method was 2.4, 1.8 2.5 and 2.2 respectively. Therefore, it could be found that the best sihlouttre of the two-piece sleeve taken in a full-dress form was expressed when the appropriate volume of shrinkage considering the physical properties of the material formed the circumferential line of the armhole width of the sleeve.
