정치적 기획으로서의 ‘유럽역사의 집’ 건립과 그 비판

Creating ‘the House of Europena History’ as a political initiative and its critics

유럽정체성 강화를 목표로 삼으면서 2017년 5월 6일 개관한 ‘유럽역사의 집’을 소개하는 이 글의 내용은 크게 두 가지 주제로 나뉜다. 첫 번째 주제는 유럽역사의 집 설립과정과 상설전시관의 콘텐츠 내용의 분석에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이 주제를 통해 유럽역사의 집 건립의도와 상설전시관 콘텐츠 내러티브의 구성 및 내러티브의 전제가되는 이론적 사유들이 무엇이었는가를 중점적으로 살펴볼 것이다. 이 글의 또 다른 주제는 유럽역사의 집 건립을 둘러싼 여론과 학계의 비판적인 반응들을 소개하는 것이다. 유럽의회가 정치적 의도를 가지고 주도했던 유럽역사박물관 건립 및 유럽역사의 집 역사전시가 유럽의 공론장에서 어떤 논쟁들을 야기했는지를 분석함으로써 공동의 유럽역사 전시 가능성 및 그 문제점들에 대한 유럽인들의 다양한 견해들을 살펴볼것이다.

This article deals with the House of European History , opened on May 6, 2017 to foster the european Identity. The content of this article is divided into two main themes. The first topic focuses on the process of building the House of European history and the analysis of the contents of the permanent exhibition. With this theme, we will explain the purpose of the building of the House of European History , narratives of permanent exhibition, and theoretical bases that underlie narratives. Another theme of the article is public opinion and academic criticism over the building of the House of European History . By analyzing debates in the european public arena about the House of European History established by the European Parliament with political intentions, We will examine the possibility of a common european history exhibition in museum and its problems.(Gyeongsang National University)
