In the aspects of economics, it is often used to weld dissimilar materials. In the present study, dissimilar materials, SS400 and STS 304, are welded by CO₂ welding, and carried out the Hardness test, tensile test and fatigue fracture behavior. The result of the study shows: 1) The weld ability of dissimilar materials, SS 400 and STS 304, is good and the cutting face in tensile test and fatigue test is shown in the region of SS 400 HAZ. 2) Hardness was the highest in HAZ of STS 304 and decreased to the bond of SS 400 gradually and the average hardness in HAZ of SS 400.
