In a fine blanking process, it is crucial to have as much shearing surface as possible. In this research, the author of the study used a general -purpose press to install a fine blanking die and carried out the experiment to see if the height of a V-indenter Ring’s protrusion and distance from a blanking line can affect a burnish zone. For a sample used in the experiment, a ton of aluminum was used and the author obtained a sample from each experiment to monitor the burnish zone’s ratio. As a result, the author was able to find out that the higher the protrusion of a V-indenter Ring, and the closer it is to the punch, the better the ratio of the shearing surface.
