Design education at the specialized high school design department aims to fosterdesigners. Designers in the practical environment where various and complex problems emerge require design skills such as communication skills, collaboration skills, and problem solving skills. Project based learning, which is a learning process in which students find, investigate, and explore problems related to real life, is closely related to various abilities required of designers. Through literature research and surveys, this study identified the status of CI design education in specialized high schools and aims to develop a learning process tha is effective in developing a designer s ability. The study developed a five-step learning process by using project based learning in CI design education :introduction, problem recognition, solution exploration, solution development and evaluation. To prove its effectiveness, after the learning process applied, the researcher conducte a survey about satisfaction and educational effects using 5 point(likert) scale. As a result, The effectiveness of the class process was proven as the average class effect was 3.94 to 4.28,the average level of satisfaction was 3.96 to 4.28, and the overall satisfactionlevel of the earning process was average to 4.2 rated high.
