A study on the political correctness in languages: Focused on the English expressions in interpretation and translation training

This paper explores the political correctness in languages focused on the English expressions in interpretation and translation education. The purpose of this thesis is to define the meanings of the political correctness and analyze the political correctness in the diverse English expressions, such as 3rd person plural pronoun, race, gender and job. The organization of this thesis is as follows: In Chapter 1, I have mentioned the purpose and the organization of this paper and introduced the connection between the political correctness and interpretation and translation training, which will be of help to the analyze of the diverse English expressions in the political correctness. In Chapter 2, I have briefly presented the summary of the definitions of the political correctness in the previous researches. And I have analyzed the English expressions of the political correctness in the ranges of 3rd person plural pronoun, race, gender, job. Also, I have presented the specific plan to use English expressions safely. In Chapter 3, I have concluded that the meaning of use safe English expressions and manners for internationalization. I hope this thesis will be a guide to the right understanding of the political correctness, and to be of help in interpretation and translation education.
