시설관리 및 운영에 관한 연구동향 고찰 : 2008-2018년 KCI 등재지를 중심으로

An Analysis of Trends in Research Related to Facility Management : Focused on the KCI Journals(2008-2018)

Since facility management(FM)was academically handled in 1990, it has been expanded throughout the world. Now, FM has been developed in engineering, economic and human social scientific areas as well and lots of studies have been done on FM. At this moment, in order to understand future research direction, it is necessary to review all FM studies discussed from 2008 to 2018 published on research journals of Korea Citation Index. The total of 78 journals were reviewed with the content analysis such as research subjects, methodologies and constructions of studies. As results, it reveals that the number of the research has conducted on Green or Eco-environmental facility management since 2010 and a large portion of studies subjects were conducted on the BIS & GIS technologies and their application related. The major characteristics on FM was mainly focused on technology applied and development to increase more efficient ways saving energy, reducing waste and increasing real estate value. Some articles were reported on better policies direction and marketing strategies for FM. Also, the research objects of FM were limited to public sites and facilities, however, currently they expanded to small sized private facilities since 2013. Those studies are composed of cause of rising, current situation, the effect of FM, and suggestion for development of FM. Based on the results of study, it is recommended that the research on FM needs to apply for more customers-centric tasks who use those facilities in everyday and the study subject needs to be more diverse and specific such as smart cities, nuclear facilities and other spaces. And also the specific future study direction is necessary on long-term view of FM.
