고등학생의 글로벌새마을정신과 학업성취도및 세계시민의식과의 관련성 연구

A Study on the Relationship between High School Students’Community Spirits and Their Academic Achievement

한국 2015개정 교육과정은 학교교육을 통해 세계시민으로서 성장할 수 있는 토대를 마련하고자 하였고, 이에 의해 학생들이 세계 공동체 발전에 참여하는 역량을 개발하는 데 중점을 두었다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적은 고등학교 학생의 글로벌새마을정신과 학업성취도 및 세계시민의식과의 관련성을 조사하는 데 있다. 2017년 대구광역시와 경상북도에 위치한 7개 고등학교를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 총 470명의 학생들이 설문조사에 참여하였고, 데이터분석 결과 학생들의 글로벌새마을정신은 학업성취도에 긍정적인 영향을끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학생들의 글로벌새마을정신에 대한 인지가 높을수록 세계시민의식도 높게 나타났다. 이런 점을 염두에 둘 때 학생들의 공동체정신인 글로벌 새마을정신을 함양할 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하며, 이는 학업성취는 물론이고 세계시민의식의 고양에도 긍정적 계기로 작용할 수 있다.

The 2015 Revised National Curriculum of the Ministry of Education focuses on helping students grow as a global citizen and gain a high level of competence in successfully participating in the global community. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between high school students’ perception of Community Spirits(Global Saemaul Spirits) and their academic achievement. Data were collected from 7 high schools located in the City of Daegu and the Province of Gyeongbuk in 2017. A total of 470 students participated in the study, responding to a survey questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that students’ perception of Community Spirits positively influence their academic achievement. In addition, students’ perception of Community Spirits also have a positive influence on their perception of Global Citizenship.
