대학생용 융합 역량 척도의 개발과 타당화

Development and Validation of a Convergence Competency Scale for University Students

본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 위한 융합 역량 척도를 개발하고 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 융합 역량의 개념에 관한 선행연구의 내용을 바탕으로 융합 역량을 측정하는 문항들을 제작하였다. 이 문항들을 이용하여 서울 소재 4년제 A대학에서 교양수업을 듣는 학생들로부터 2014년 1학기와 2학기의 두 학기에 걸쳐 수집한 자료를 본 연구의 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석에 사용하였다. 2014년 1학기에 수집한 자료를 이용하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 ‘융합 사고 역량’과 ‘융합 소통·협업 역량’의 두 개 요인이 도출되었다. 2014년 2학기에 수집한 또 다른 자료를 이용하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 탐색적 요인분석에서 도출된 요인구조대로 설정한 모형의 적합도가 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 함께 성별에 따른 요인구조의 차이를 알아본 다집단 분석을 실시한 결과 남학생과 여학생의 두 집단에서 두 개의 요인으로 구성된 융합 역량의 요인구조가 동일하게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 융합 역량의 개념화와 측정 및 융합 역량 검사 도구의 활용에 관한 논의를 전개하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale of convergence competence for university students. For this, items were prepared to measure convergence competence, which were based on the contents of previous studies on the concepts of convergence competence. Using these items, data were collected from students attending A university in Seoul during the first and second semester of 2014, and were used for an exploratory factor analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis. An exploratory factor analysis was conducted using the data of the first semester, and two factors were derived which were named as convergence thinking competence’ and ‘convergence communication and cooperation competence’. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis using the other data collected in the second semester, the model of the factor structure derived from the exploratory factor analysis was found to be good and acceptable. The results of a subsequent multigroup analysis comparing the factor structures across the two groups of male students and female students indicated that the initial two factor structure was the same in the two groups. Based on the above results, the conceptualization and measurement of convergence competence and the use of the scale developed in this study were discussed.
