The Development and Validation of the Early Childhood teacher’s Problem Behavior Guidance Efficacy Scale

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 문제행동 지도 효능감 척도를 개발하고 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 유아의 문제행동 및 교사 효능감 관련 문헌을 분석하고 유아교사, 전공교수와의 면담을 통해 구성요인 관련 자료를 수집하였다. 구성 자료를 기반으로 구성요인을 추출하고 최종 문항에 대한 시안을 구성하였다. 최종 문항 시안은 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증을 통해 척도로 개발되었다. 연구대상은 유아교사 456명(탐색적 요인분석 173명, 확인적 요인분석 283명)이였다, 본 연구에서 개발된 유아교사의 문제행동 지도 효능감 척도는 문제행동 지도 및 관리기술(20문항), 개인적 효능감(6문항), 외부 영향요인(11문항)등 3개 요인의 37문항으로 구성되었다. 요인들의 내적합치도(Cronbach ‘α)는 ,94에서 .98까지나타났으며, 전체 척도의 Cronbach ‘α 값은 .97로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 유아교사의 문제행동 지도 효능감 척도는 신뢰롭고 타당한 도구로 검증되었다.

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate of the early childhood teacher’s Problem Behavior Guidance Efficacy Scale. To do this, literature on young children s problem behavior and teacher efficacy was analyzed, and related data on the components were collected through interviews with early childhood teachers and major professors. Based on collected data, the constituent factors were extracted, and the final draft was constructed. The final drafts were developed as evaluation scale through verification processes of validity and reliability. The subjects used in this study were 477 early childhood teachers who made assessments[193 Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), 284 Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA)]. The early childhood teachers’s Problem Behavior Guidance Efficacy Scale developed in this study was composed of 37 questions following 3 primary factors: Problem behavior management and guidance skills (20 questions), Personal Teaching Efficacy (6questions), External influences (11 questions). The internal consistency (Cronbach’ α) of these factors ranged from .94 to .98, and the total value of Cronbach’ α was found to be .97. These results demonstrate that the early childhood teacher’s Problem Behavior Guidance Efficacy Scale developed in this study is a valid and reliable tool.
