남자 간호대학생의 전공만족도와 진로준비행동 간의 관계에서 병역의무계획의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Military Duty Planning on the Relationship between Major Satisfaction and Career Preparation Behavior among Male Nursing Students

본 연구의 목적은 남자 간호대학생의 전공만족도와 진로준비행동 간의 관계에서 병역의무계획의 매개효과를 확인하는데 있다. 2019 년 6월 7일부터 21일까지 자료를 수집하였고 총 165명의 남자 간호대학생이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 전공만족도, 병역 의무계획 및 진로준비행동은 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 측정되었으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 25.0으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 간호학과 입학동기와 졸업 후 원하는 진로에 따라 진로준비행동에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 전공만족도와 진로준비행동(r=.42, p<.001), 병역의무계획과 진로준비행동(r=.33, p<.001) 사이에는 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 병역의무계획은 직접적으로 전공만족도에 영향을 받았으며(Adj. R2=16.4 %), 진로준비행동은 전공만족도에 직접적인 영향을 받았다(Adj. R2=41.1 %). 전공만족도와 병역의무계획은 진로준비행동에 영향을 미쳤다(Adj. R2=41.3 %). 병역의무계획은 전공만족도와 진로준비행동 사이의 관계에서 부분 매개효과(β=.279, p<.001)를 보였다(Sobel test: Z=5.05, p<.001). 이 연구의 결과는 남자 간호대학생의 진로준비행동을 향상시키기 위해서는 전공만족도와 병역의 무계획을 향상시킬 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to test mediating effect of military duty planning on the relationship between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior among male nursing students in South Korea. Data were collected from June 7 to 21, 2019 and a total of 165 male nursing students participated in this study. Major satisfaction, military duty planning, and career preparation behavior were measured using a structured questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS 25.0 for windows. As a result of research, there was a statistically significant difference in career preparation behavior of participants according to entrance motivation and desired career after graduation. There were statistically significant correlations between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior (r=.42, p<.001), and between military duty planning and career preparation behavior (r=.33, p<.001). Military duty planning was directly affected by major satisfaction(Adj. R2=16.4%). Career preparation behavior was directly affected by major satisfaction(Adj. R2=41.1%). Major satisfaction and military duty planning effected career preparation behavior(Adj. R2=41.3%). Military duty planning had a partial mediating effect(β=.279, p<.001) in the relationship between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior(Sobel test: Z=5.05, p<.001). The results of this study indicate that to improve career preparation behavior for male nursing students, it is necessary to enhance major satisfaction and military duty planning.
