The main aim of this paper is to identify current situation and urgent problems of American identity primarily in the light of American farmers. The major findings are as follows. First, many immigrants including Mexican American don’t feel special conflict from dual identities and have American identity unambiguously as a common factor in their life, even though they require and hope that unfair realities such as inequality of opportunities and racism would be changed. Second, most Americans are very critical of America First policy, along with people in most of the parts of the world. They generally think that it’s not only selfish but also incongruous in the age of globalization. These findings are very positive aspects for Americans, because they show some possibilities at least for social integration based on American identity. Third, it’s to minimize possibility of collision and its side effect among several identities and to maximize positive parts of them that Americans should try for the America’s reintegration and sustainable growth through reestablishment of identity. Fourth, urgent problems Americans should solve are recognition and healing of historical scar of minority groups, resolution of deepening social inequality, and collective efforts for modifying America First policy that has desecrated American identity and fallen America’s global leadership.
