대학부설 외국인 유학생 대상 한국어교육 실태 분석

An Analysis on the Status of Korean Language Education for Foreign Students at University: Based on the ○○ university case of Korea

이 연구는 2005년 제정 공포된 ‘국어기본법’에 근거한 한국어교육에 대한 실태 분석과 한국어교육대상자인 외국인 유학생들의 한국어교육에 대한 만족도 및 요구분석을 실시하였다. 지난 20여 년 동안의 한국어교육이 외국인들에게 한국어를 보급한다는 측면과 한국문화를 세계에 알린다는 문화관광적 차원에서 접근하였음에 비추어 이제는 질 높은 한국어교육 프로그램을 어떻게 개발하여 제공할 것인가에 대한 교육학적 사고를 해야 할 시점이 되었기 때문이었다. 따라서 이 연구는 한국어교육 실태로서 ‘한국어교육 정책 추진과정’, ‘한국어 교육 기관’, ‘한국어 교육과정’, ‘한국어 교원 양성’ 등에 대하여 살펴보고, 한국어교육 수강생들의 교육 프로그램에 대한 만족도와 요구사항 등을 분석하였다. 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 첫째, 한국어교육 프로그램의 질적 향상을 위해서는 단지 문화관광적 차원에서만 접근할 것이 아니라 교육학적 차원에서 전반적 검토가 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 한국어교육에 대한 다양하고도 심층적인 연구를 수행하여 교육 프로그램의 질적 수준을 높이는 데 피드백 되어야 한다. 셋째, 한국어 교육 프로그램 개발자, 한국어교원 등 한국어 교육 담당자들이 모여서 한국어 교육경험의 노하우를 공유하고 한국어 교육의 안정화 및 전문화에 기여할 수 있는 교육자료들이 개발될 수 있도록 지원되어야 함을 제언하였다.

This study aimed at an analysis of Korean language education status based on the Framework Act on Korean Language, which was enacted in 2005, and a satisfaction and demand analysis of Korean language education among foreign students subject to Korean language education. It is because it is time to develop and provide high-quality Korean language education programs in light of not the cultural but the educational aspects. Therefore, this research investigated Korean Language Education Policy Implementation Process , Korean Language Education Institute , Korean Language Curriculum , and Korean Language Teachers Qualification Requirement as the status of Korean language education, and analyzed the satisfaction level and requirements of the Korean language education program of the students. Based on the results, the followings were suggested. firstly, the direction of Korean language education should be considered on the educational level, not just on the cultural side to improve the quality of Korean language education programs. Second, various and in-depth studies on Korean language education should be conducted and feedback should be given to raising the quality level of education programs. Third, higher quality Korean language educational materials should be developed by help of experienced Korean language teachers in a near future.
