The Effect of Color-Enhanced Graphical Format on Reducing the Influence of Low Performers in Computer-Based Idea Generation

그룹을 바탕으로 한 창의적인 아이디어 생산에 있어서 저성과자는 항상 딜레마를 보인다. 이전 논문들의 공통된 의견을 바탕으로 실시간 퍼포먼스 피드백 메커니즘을 개발하여 저성과자에게 동기부여를 하였다. 생산성을 측정한 결과, 지속작인 생산성 향상이 입증되었다. 본 연구는 한 단계 더 나아가서 색깔을 추가하여 선택적으로 저성과자를 표시하였을 때 어더한 효과가 나타나는지를 연구했다. 색깔의 내재된 특성인 주의력향상이 더 나는 생산성으로 표출될 것을 기대한다.

Given the evidence that low performers tend to hide in the crowd, they exert less effort in a disjunctive task and show a tendency of generating low quality ideas. In order to motivate low performers, we developed a real-time visual performance feedback mechanism, which explicitly and objectively displays individual performance information. With consistent demonstration of a substantial performance gain by the provision of real-time performance information, we paid attention to “color.” A color-based low performance indicator may draw more attention faster than positive information and cooperation is expected to be maximized.
