부모방임이 중학생의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Neglect from Parents on School Adjustment of Adolescents: Focusing on the mediating effects of Peer Attachment

본 연구는 부모의 방임이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향과 이 관계에서 또래애착의 매개효과 검증을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 ‘한국청소년정책연구원’의 ‘한국 아동․청소년패널조사 2016(KCYPS)’의 자료 중 중학교 1학년 아동 2,342명의 자료를 사용하였다. 기술분석과 상관분석으로 응답자 및 주요 변수들의 특성을 파악하였으며, 위계적 회귀분석과 sobel test를 통해 연구모형 및 또래애착의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 방임과 또래애착은 학교생활적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 또래애착은 방임과 학교생활적응의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 중학생의 학교생활적응을 향상시키기 위해 또래애착증진을 위한 프로그램을 개발하고 실시하는 것이 필요함을 제안하였다. 또한, 검증을 토대로 본 연구 결과에 대한 한계점 및 후속연구에 대한 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Neglect from Parents on school life adaptation, and the mediating effect of peer attachment between Neglect from Parents and school life adaptation. The study is based on data from the 7th year of ‘Korean Children Youth Panel Survey 2016(KCYPS)’ of ‘The National Youth Policy Institute’ were 2,342 1th grade middle school students. Descriptive analysis and correlations analysis were used to investigate variables and the characteristics of the respondents. Multiple regression analysis and the Sobel test were utilized for creating the research model and measuring the mediating effects of peer attachment. The results were as follows. First, Neglect from Parents, the peer attachment had an impact on their school life adaptation. Secondly, the peer attachment partially mediated the relationship between Neglect from Parents and school life adaptation. In order to improve the school life adaptation of these age groups, it was suggested to make an effort to enhance the peer attachment. Based on these findings, implications for future study were also discussed in this study.
