Traditional fences have given development-oriented creativity and inspiration and brought thoughts and ideas to diverse industries. This creative design work can be useful in hair tattooing as a way to express personality and personal propensities. The purpose of this study is to propose creative, diverse hairstyling for men who want to express their personal traits as well as to make a contribution to the development of the cosmetology industry by enhancing the artistic value of hair tattoos. For this, four hair tattoos have been created, and the results found the following: First, the yeongnongdam hair tattoo expressed smooth and rhythmic shapes with repetitive curves. It also illustrates a gentle modern man’s image by adopting structure hair styles. Second, the panseokdam hair tattoo delivers modern fined beauty with consecutive slanted cross lines. It has applied young hairstyles and created sharp design for active and future-oriented young adults. Third, the sagoeseokdam hair tattoo expresses the traditional beauty of simplicity by repeatedly lining up square patterns. With the adoption of classic hairstyles, it represents a classic gentleman’s beauty and simplicity. Fourth, the natural stone-fence hair tattoo creates a gentle image by repeating irregular oval patterns. With the adoption of perm styles, it produces an attractive, lively male image by neutralizing the conventional idea of male toughness. The results confirmed that traditional fence patterns are good motifs for hair tattooing. It is anticipated that there would be further studies on diverse hair tattoos with the expansion and diversification of the domestic cosmetology market.
