어머니의 학업관심도 및 어머니-자녀 상호작용이 아동의 학교적응에 미치는 영향

Influence of Mother’s Academic Concern and Mother-Child Interaction on Children’s School Adjustment

본 연구는 어머니의 학업관심도, 어머니-자녀 상호작용이 자녀의 학교적응에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 한국아동패널 9차년(2016년)도 자료인 초등학교 1학년 아동 1464명과 그들의 어머니였다. 연구 결과 아동의 성별에 따라 어머니의 학업관심도, 어머니-자녀 상호작용 및 아동의 학교적응에 있어 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났는데, 여아가 남아보다 높은 점수를 보였다. 또한 어머니의 학업관심도, 어머니-자녀 상호작용 및 아동의 학교적응은 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 어머니의 학업관심도 및 어머니-자녀 상호작용은 아동의 학교적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 어머니의 학업관심도 중 분위기제공 및 친구관계에서 성적중시는 아동의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 어머니의 학업관심도 중 친구관계에서 성적중시를 제외한 모든 하위영역이 어머니-자녀 상호작용에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 한편, 본 연구에서는 어머니-자녀 상호작용이 아동의 학교적응에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났는데, 이에 대한 추후 연구를 통해 어머니-자녀 상호작용과 아동의 학교적응 간의 구조적 탐색이 요구된다.

This study was investigated the relationship among mother’s academic concern, mother-child interaction, and children’s school adjustment. The ninth child study panel data 1464 7-year-old children and their mothers was used. According to the result, there was a difference in mother s academic concern, mother-child interaction, and children’s school adjustment according to the sex of the child. The girls were higher than the boys. Also, there was a significant positive correlation between mother s academic concern, mother-child interaction, and children’s school adjustment. Finally, it was found that mother s academic concern and mother-child interaction had a significant effect on the children’s school adjustment. In particular, mother’s concern in providing an atmosphere and friendship affects children s school adjustment, and all of the mother s academic concern, except for friendship, are the factors that influence mother-child interaction. In this study, the mother-child interaction did not affect the school adjustment of the children, and further research on this would require a structural search between the mother-child interaction and the children’s school adjustment.
