전문상담교사가 경험한 윤리적 갈등과 윤리적 의사결정과정에서의 어려움: 개인면담을 활용한 합의적 질적 분석

Ethical conflicts and difficulties in the Ethical Decision Making experienced by School Counselors: Using personal interview and CQR

본 연구는 전문상담교사가 학교상담 현장에서 경험하는 윤리적 갈등과 윤리적 의사결정과정에서의 어려움을 탐색하고자, 경력 5년 이상의 전문상담교사 10명을 대상으로 개인면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하고, 합의적 질적 분석 방법(CQR)에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과 전문상담교사가 경험한 윤리적 갈등은 전문성, 이중관계, 내담자 존중, 비밀보장의 4가지 범주로, 전문상담교사가 경험한 윤리적 의사결정과정에서의 어려움은 지지체계 및 협력체계의 미흡, 전문성과 역할에 대한 고민, 과도한 책임감과 소진의 3가지 범주로 나타났다. 결과를 바탕으로 전문상담교사가 윤리적 의사결정과정에서 경험하는 어려움을 해결하기 위해 학교구성원의 학교상담 이해를 위한 프로그램의 필요성, 학교상담 시스템의 재정비와 학교상담 관련법의 제정 등 시사점을 제시하고, 본 연구의 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purposes of the study were to explore the ethical conflicts and difficulties in the ethical decision making experienced by school counselors. For research purposes, 10 school counselors with 5 years or more experience were interviewed for collecting data and analyzed in CQR. The ethical conflicts experienced by school counselors are four categories: professionalism, dual relationships, respect for Client and confidentiality. Difficulties in the ethical decision making experienced by school counselors appeared in three categories: insufficient support system and cooperative system, agonizing over professionalism and role, excessive responsibility and burnout. Based on the results, school counselors presented suggestions such as the need for programs to understand school counseling by school members to solve difficulties experienced in the ethical decision making, the readjustment of the school counseling system and the enactment of the school counseling related law, and suggestions for follow-up research.
