고등학교『생활과 윤리』교과서에 나타난 결혼을 매개로 한 가족 윤리의 내용 분석

Content Analysis of Family Ethics referring to Marriage in the Korean High School Textbook:『Life and Ethics』

윤리를 인간관계의 질서로 이해할 때 이러한 인간관계의 핵심은 사회를 구성하는 최소단위인 가족으로부터 출발하게 된다. 그리고 이러한 가족이 새롭게 형성되는 구조의 기초에는 결혼이라는 제도가 존재한다. 따라서 가족 윤리와 관련된 다양한 논 의들은 결혼과 밀접한 관련을 맺고 있다. 본 연구는 고등학교에서 사용하고 있는 5종 교과서『생활과 윤리』를 조사하여 그 속에서 표현하고 있는 결혼과 가족윤리의 내용을 분석하고, 그것이 현시대에서 필요한 가족윤리를 실제적으로 반영하고 있는 지 여부를 확인하는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 2019년 9월에 전국 고등학교에서 공통적으로 사용하는 5종의 검인정 교과서의 내용을 분석했다. 분석할때에는 질적연구의 내용분석 방법을 적용하여 테마(theme)단위를 도출하고, 그것의 적절성을 비판적으로 검증하였다. 연구자들이 개별 및 동료평가 방법으로 분석을 실시한 결과 결혼과 가족 윤리에 대하여 전통윤리 및 동양윤리의 관점을 중심으로 서술하고 있으며, 이와 관련된 사진 또는 삽화는 통계자료의 시각화 또는 이미지컷의 형태로 제시되고 있다. 그러나 내용 상 부족한 면이 발견되었으며, 이는 향후 서양윤리 및 응용윤리의 최근 연구 결과를 적극적으로 반영하는 동시에 결혼 및 가족 윤리와 관련된 내용을 실질적으로 보여줄 수 있는 시각 자료의 개발을 통하여 보완되어야 할 것이다.

When understanding ethics as the order of human relationships, the core of such relationships starts with the family, the smallest unit that forms society. Marriage is the basis of the family as a social system. Therefore, various discussions concerning family ethics are closely related to the marriage. This study critically examined the five versions of Korean high school textbook 『life and ethics』and analyzed the contents of marriage and family ethics expressed in them. The researchers reviewed whether the textbooks reflect the family ethics needed in the contemporary society.. To accomplish the research purpose, the researchers analyzed the contents of five types of approved textbooks commonly used by high schools nationwide in September 2019. When analyzing, the content analysis method of qualitative research was applied to derive the theme unit and critically verified its appropriateness. Researchers conducted the content analysis by employing individual and peer-reviewed methods, which focused on the viewpoints of traditional and Oriental ethics on marriage and family. The researchers also reviewed the appropriateness of the photos or illustrations presented in the form of visualization. The results of the content analysis showed that there were a lot of deficiencies have been found in the content, which should be supplemented by the development of visual aids that can actively reflect the results of recent studies of Western ethics and applied ethics in the area of family and marriage.
