아버지의 양육효능감과 온정적 양육행동이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Fathers’ parenting efficacy and warm caregiving behaviors on Children’s social competence

본 연구에서는 아버지의 양육효능감과 온정적 양육행동이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 육아정책연구소 한국아동패널 7차년도(2014년) 자료를 사용하였다. 연구대상은 만 6세 유아와 이들의 아버지 1,108 명이었다. 이들을 대상으로 하여 조사 실시한 자료를 활용하여 구조방정식 모형검증을 통해 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 양육효능감은 온정적 양육행동에 정적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 둘째, 아버지의 온정적 양육행동은 유아의 사회적 유능성에 정적 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육효능감은 유아의 사회적 유능성에 정적 영향을 주었다. 마지막으로 아버지의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능성에 영향을 미치는데 있어서 아버지의 온정적 양육행동의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 온정적양육행동이 부분매개변임임을 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 아버지의 양육효능감은 아버지의 온정적 양육행동에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 이는 다시 유아의 사회적 유능성에 영향을 주었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 유아의 사회적 유능성을 증진시키는 데 있어서 아 버지의 양육효능감과 온정적 양육행동의 중요성을 확인할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of fathers’ parenting efficacy and warm caregiving behaviors on children’s social competence. In addition, the mediating role of fathers’ warm caregiving behaviors between fathers’ parenting efficacy and children s social competence was investigated. Using the data of 1,108 six year-old children and their fathers from the 7th year data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel(2014), this study was conducted with Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). The results of this study were as follows. First, fathers’ parenting efficacy have a positive influence on fathers’ warm caregiving behaviors. Second, fathers’ warm caregiving behaviors have a positive influence on children’s social competence. Third, fathers’ parenting efficacy have a positive influence on children’s social competence. Fourth, fathers’ warm caregiving behaviors have mediating effects on the relationship between fathers’ parenting efficacy and children s social competence. In conclusion, fathers’ parenting efficacy and warm caregiving behaviors have a direct or indirect impact on children’s social competence.
