한류 관련 연구의 흐름과 이슬람 문화권 한류 연구의 필요성

The Trend of Study on Hallyu and the Necessity of Research in the Islamic Culture

본 연구는 한류열풍이 불고 있는 지역 들 중 지정학적이나 대내·외적 정치적인 관계에 휩싸이지 않고 꾸준하게 한류열풍을 불고 있는 지역인 이슬람권의 한류현황에 대해서 고찰해 보고자 한다. 현재 한류열풍의 지역적 범위가 동북아시아를 넘어 세계 곳곳으로 퍼져 나가고 있다. 이슬람 문화권에서의 한류열풍은 2000년대 중반 인도네시아, 말레이시아 같은 동남아시아 이슬람 국가에서 확산된 후 2000년대 후반 들어 이란, 우즈베키스탄, 터키를 포함한 중앙아시아, 서남아시아와 북아프리카의 이집트까지 확산한 단계에 까지 이르렀는데 이슬람권 한류에 대한 연구는 찾아보기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 연구는 이슬람 문화권에서 확산된 한류를 설명하는 이론, 현황, 효과 등을 탐색적으로 검토해 보고자 한다. 이러한 접근은 이슬람 문화권 연구의 필요성 제기와 한류 이해 및 확산에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to examine the current status of the Korean Wave in the Islamic region where the Korean Wave is spreading without geopolitical and internal/external political influence. The regional range of the Korean Wave is spreading from Northeast Asia to various areas of the world. The Korean Wave in the Islamic country have been spreaded from Southeast Asian Islamic countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia in the mid-2000s to the Central Asia, South-East Asia and North Africa including Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Egypt in the late 2000s. Nevertheless, research of Korean Wave in the Islamic country is hard to find. Therefore, this study explores the theories, current conditions and effects that explain the Korean wave which is spreaded in the Islamic culture. The results of research will provide necessities of research about Korean Wave in the Islamic culture. And also could contribute the understanding and diffusion of the Korean Wave in this area.
