배움중심수업 기반 토의활동이 유아의 리더십과 의사소통능력에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Discussion Activity Based Classes on Young Children’s Leadership and Communication Abilities

본 연구는 유아들을 대상으로 실험과 비교집단으로 구분하여 사전, 사후 검사를 통해 배움중심수업 기반 토의활동이 리더십과 의사소통능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴봄으로써 유아들의 리더십 향상과 의사소통 능력을 증진시키는데 요구되는 교육현장에서의 적용방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이에 주요 결과에 대한 논의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 배움중심수업 기반의 토의활동이 리더십에 미치는 효과를 살펴본 결과, 실험집단과 비교집단 간 차이를 보면, 실험집단이 비교집단에 비해 전체 리더십과 구성개념인 도전의 부분과 자신감, 타인존중, 자기행동관리, 문제해결력 모두 높은 점수를 보였고, 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타 났다. 둘째, 배움중심수업 기반의 토의활동이 의사소통능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴본 결과, 실험집단과 비교집단 간 차이에서 실험집단이 비교집단에 비해 전체 의사소통능력에서 향상된 점수를 보인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 배움중심수업 기반의 교육활동이 유아의 자발적 협력과 실행을 이끌어내는 효과를 검증해봄으로써 과정중심으로 이루어지는 교육에 대한 실제적 대안을 제시하는데 그 의의를 가진다.

The purpose of this study was to suggest applicable methodology to improve the leadership and communication skills of children by investigating the effect of discussion centered classes using activities on leadership and communication. The study, through pre – and post – tests, classified children into experimental and comparative groups. Based on the main results, the following discussion opics were made. First, as a result of examining the effects of the classes on leadership, the experimental group showed a higher level of total leadership. And constitutional concepts such as challenge and confidence, self - esteem, self - management and problem-solving abilities were all higher and statistically significant. Second, as a result of examining the effects of the discussion activities on overall communication abilities, the experimental group showed better communication abilities. Also, compositional concepts, listening, recognition, respect, temperance, leadership skills, overall responsibility, and honesty showed higher scores and were statistically significant. The value of this study suggests a practical alternative to process-based education by verifying the effects of learning-centered class-based educational activities with children s voluntary cooperation.
