아버지의 양육행동과 아동의 행복감 관계에서 아동의 자존감의 매개 효과

The mediating effects of children’s self-esteem in the relationship between father’s parenting behavior and children’s happiness

본 연구는 부의 양육행동, 아동의 행복감과 자아존중감의 관계를 분석하고, 부의 온정적 양육행동과 아동의 행복감의 관계에서 아동의 자아존중감의 부분매개효과를 검증함으로써, 아동의 행복감을 증진시키기 위해 요구되는 개별 특성을 확인하고, 이를 토대로 아버지와 자녀의 관계 개선 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 8차년도 한국아동패널 자료를 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 사용하여, Pearson 적률상관계수, 중다회귀분석를 실시하였다. 이 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부의 온정적 양육행동은 아동의 자아존중감은 정적으로 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부의 온정적 양육행동과 아동의 행복감은 정적으로 유의미한 상관이있는 것으로 나타났으며, 부의 통제적 양육행동은 아동의 행복감과 유의미한 상관을 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 아동의 자아존중감과 아동의 행복감은 정적으로 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 아동의 자아존중감이 부의 온정적 양육행동과 아동의 행복감에 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among father’s parenting behavior, children s happiness and self-esteem. The subjects in this study were fathers and children who originated from 8th year of the Panel Study of Korean Children(PSKC). The data were analyzed by Pearson s correlation, multiple regression, and sobel test. The results of this study were as follows: First, it was found that there are positive correlations among father’s parenting behavior, children s happiness and self-esteem. Second, it was revealed that the children’s self-esteem partially mediated in the relationship between father’s parenting behavior and children’s happiness.
