문법 교육에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식을 반영한 문법 교육의 개선점 탐색

Exploring the Improvement of Grammar Education Reflecting Teachers and Students Perception of Grammar Education

본 연구는 국어 교육 내에서 위상이 흔들리고 있는 문법 교육이 앞으로 어떻게 개선되어야 하는지를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 교사와 학생이 느끼는 문법 교육의 현실을 살펴보았다. 교사는 가르칠 내용이 시대에 따라 바뀌는 문제, 동 일한 내용에 대해 참고 자료마다 달리 제시하고 있는 문제, 가르치다가 궁금한 것을믿고 물을 수 있는 곳이 없는 문제 등을 겪고 있다. 학생은 자신들이 접하는 언어 환경이 문법 교육에 제대로 반영되지 않는 문제, 교과서와 참고 교재에서 다루고 있는 문법 내용이 불일치하는 문제 등을 겪고 있다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 국립국어원이 문법 교육을 지원하는 역할을 적극적으로 해야 하고 교육청, 학회, 국어 교사 모임 등이 문법 수업 자료를 공유하는 등 여러 노력을 기울여야 한다. 또한 차기 교육과정에서는 가르칠 내용에 대해 좀 더 상세한 설명이 필요하고 집필 기준도 자세히 제시될 필요가 있다. 그리고 가능하다면 문법 영역만이라도 검정 교과서 체제를 도입하는 것도 생각해 볼 수 있다.

This study considers how grammar education should be improved in the future. In order to find a solution, we first looked at the problems of current grammar education for teachers and students. Teachers are faced with the problem of changing the content of the teachings from time to time, with different references for the same content, and with no place to believe and ask questions. Students experience problems with their language environment not being properly reflected in grammar education, and inconsistencies between the grammars covered in textbooks and reference books. In order to solve this problem, the National Institute of Korean Language should actively play a role in supporting grammar education, and various efforts should be made, such as sharing grammar lesson materials by the office of education, academic societies, and Korean language teacher groups. In addition, a more detailed description should be provided in the curriculum documents and the writing criteria should be detailed. And if possible, consider unifying the teachings in the grammar area and providing them to textbook writers.
