The Comparative Study on the Physiological Theory of Hyun-Gok (Yun Gil-Young) and the Hyunsang (形象) Theory of Ji-San (Park In-Kyu)

ForthepurposeofsearchingexaminationintheconnectionwithclinicalmedicineandthebasictheoryofKoreanMedicine,wecomparatively studiedonthephysiologicalsystem ofHyun-Gok(1912~ 1987)andtheHyunsangsystem ofJi-San(1927~ 2000).Theresultsareasfollows. Themetabolism ofYinandYangisconnected‘Gallbladder(膽)’-‘Bladder(膀胱)’andMan(男),Woman(女),Oldaged(老),Youngchild(小) style.ManandWomanaredividedinthebodyform chacteristicnotbythesex.‘Gallbladder(膽)’-‘Bladder(膀胱)’stylearedividedinthe bodyform chacteristicbythetermsofYin(陰)andYang(陽).‘Gallbladder(膽)’stylerepresentsexcessiveYanganddeficientYin,‘Bladder (膀胱)’stylerepresentsexcessiveYinand deficientYang.Thefourcompositionfactorofthebodyisconnected Materialbasis(精)type, Vitalenergy(氣)type,Mentalfaculties(神)typeandBlood(血)type.Inthediagnosisofbodyform ontheHyungsangMedicine,thereare severaltypesofbodyshapeandcategoriesofpeople.TheMaterialbasis(精)type,Vitalenergy(氣)type,Mentalfaculties(神)typeand Blood(血)typeareclassifiedbythefourcompositionfactorofthebody. Thestructural-mechanicsorganization offiveInternalOrgans(臟)isconnectedfiveInternalOrgans(臟)typesand therunning-animal (走),bird (鳥),fish(魚),turtle(甲)typesintheHyunsangsystem.ThefiveInternalOrgans(臟)typesarepercived ontheears,eyes, nose,mouth and facialcomplexion.And the running-animal,bird,fish,turtle types are accorded to the individualpersonalities and the most-developedpartinthebodytrunkbytheOrganpicture(藏象)theory. Thesixatmosphericinfluences(六氣)isconnectedthesixKyungtypes(六經形).ThesixKyungtypesareregulatedbytheshapeofeyes andnoserepresentingfortherelationofVitalenergy(氣)andBlood(血).Bythecomparativestudyonthephysiologicalsystem ofHyun-Gok andtheHyunsangsystem ofJi-San,wecansearchtheconnectionwithclinicalmedicineandthebasictheoryofKoreanMedicine.
