본 연구의 목적은 노인의 따돌림 경험과정을 탐색하고 그 대처과정을 분석하여 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 도농형 복합도시 안의 4개의 사회복지관 중심으로 따돌림 피해경험을 가진 노인 8명을 대상으로 심층면담을 수행하였으며 자료분석은 근거이론 분석방법에 입각하였다. 분석결과 노인 따돌림 경험과정 안에서의 핵심주제는 13개 범주인 능동적, 수동적 시설 이용, 위축된 조건으로 인한 따돌림 노출, 사회망 안에서 보호받지 못하는 외톨이, 관계에 대한 작위적 축소, 관계 형성 전략, 따돌림 안에서 처절한 자아투영 등으로 분석되었다. 노인 따돌림 경험과정에 대한 분석결과, 경로당 및 노인복지기관 등 시설 이용에 있어서 노인 따돌림에 대한 적극적인 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate and better understand old people’s experiences of being bullied. For this purpose this study made profound interviews with 8 old people who were using the community social welfare centers and experienced being bullied there. Data were analyzed using the grounded theory analysis method. The analysis found that old people’s feelings from the experiences of being bullied are largely categorized into 13, or ‘active and passive use of senior center’, ‘exposures due to atrophic conditions’, ‘unprotected loners in social network , reduction of relationships , self-projection in the face of bullying and etc. Based on its findings, finally, this study proposed some ways to prevent and eradicate elderly bullying at senior center for the elderly and suggested some related issues that are to be further researched.
