국제 매너 교양 교과목이 자아 존중감과 자기 표현력에 미치는 효과

The Effects of International Manner Liberal Arts Course on Self-esteem and Self-expression

본 연구는 대학생들에게 졸업 후 원만한 사회생활의 진입과 조직(직장)생활 적응을 위해필수 요소를 자아 존중감과 자기 표현력으로 보았고, 이를 향상시킬 수 있는 교양 교과목을 국제 매너학으로 설정하였다. 따라서 국제 매너 교과목이 대학생들의 자아 존중감과 자기 표현력에 미치는 효과를 확인하고자 한다. 이는 대학의 교양 교과목이 독립적인 성인으로 성장하는데 필요한 요소를 도출하여 인성 함양은 물론 성숙한 사회인으로서 역할 수행에 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이론적 고찰을 통해 세부 연구 문제를 설정하고 이를 검증하기 위하여 국제 매너 교과목을 성실히 이수한 대학생(Fail 제외)을 모집단으로 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 국제 매너 교양 교과목은 자아 존중감에 유의한 영향으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국제 매너 교양 교과목은 자기 표현력에 유의한 영향으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 자아 존중감과 자기 표현력을 높게 지각할수록 교과목에 대한 만족도가 높아짐이 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과에 근거하여 지속적이고 체계적인 교과목 개설은 물론 양질의 교과목을 개발하는 방안이 모색되어야 한다.

This study considers self-esteem and self-expression as necessary elements for college students entry of smooth social life and their adaptation to organizational (career) life after graduation, and sets the international manner course as the liberal art subject that can improve these. Therefore, the study is intended to find out the effects of the international manner class on college students self-esteem and self-expression. The purpose of this study is to provide a basic resource for performance of roles as mature society members in addition to cultivation of character by deducting elements of liberal arts in college that are necessary for growing to be independent adults. Through theoretical review, specific research questions were established, and to verify the research questions, a survey was done on the population of college students who sincerely completed the international manner course(Fail excluded). The result of the study is as follows. First, the international manner course had a significantly positive(+) effect on self-esteem. It is necessary not only to open continuous and systemic courses but also to develop good quality of subjects based on the result of this study.
