남자대학생 운동선수가 경험하는 여가 제약

Leisure Constrain for Male College Student-Athletes

연구의 목적은 일반학생에 비해 여러 형태의 학교생활을 하는 학생운동부 선수들의 일상을 살펴보고, 생활 전반적인 부분에서의 스트레스와 여가활동에 참여할 수 있는 제약적인 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자의 경우 11명을 대상으로 2010년 9월터 11월까지 매주 1회 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 연구 참여자 선정은 눈덩이 표집법을 사용하였다. 학생운동선수들과의 라포형성을 위하여 관찰을 하거나 수업이나 훈련시간을 같이하려 노력하였다. 또한 분석 과정에서 최대한 연구의 타당성을 위하여 동료검증이나 연구노트, 연구대상자 검증(Member check) 등의 방법들을 사용하였다. 분석 결과 3개의 주제어와 9개의 하위개념으로 구성하였다. 분석결과에 대한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생운동선수들의 경우 여가활동을 휴식이나 본인의 운동에 대한 활력소적인 역할로 인식하였다. 둘째, 제한된 시간으로 여가활동의 성향이 단조로운 형태를 띄고 있다. 셋째, 사람들과의 만남을 통한 여가활동의 경향을 띄고 있다. 본인뿐만 아니라 주위 사람들과의 만남이 중요한 부분임을 알아야 한다. 종합하면, 학생운동선수들의 여가 제약적 측면을 낮추기 위해서는 무엇보다 학생운동선수들의 생활패턴의 구조적 측면의 변화가 있어야 될 것이며, 감독, 코치와 학생과의 상담이나 교류가 많아야 될 것이다. 또한 자유 시간을 어떻게 보내는 것이 중요한 것인지에 대한 여가교육적 측면에서의 담론이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate student-athletes about life and overall stress in part to participate in leisure activities. For participants in this study, 11 patients per week in-depth were interviewed for a week. The participants were selected with a snowball sampling method. They spent their time in training and exercising with students to establish a close rapport. In addition, they used a member-check, peer review, study notes in the process to the feasibility of this research. According to the analysis in this study, 9 classified themes and 3 lower categories were found. These concepts were expressed as the following results. First, student-athletes thought of the leisure activities as relax or an energizer for their life. Second, activities take the form of a tendency monotonous because of the limited time. Third, they tend to spend their time in hanging out people around them for leisure activities. In summary, to reduce constraints on student-athletes leisure activities, it is required to change many aspects of their life pattern. What is more, they have to take enough time with coach, coaching, and to have some consultation for mutual exchange of information. I also recommend that in terms of educational approach will be needed for spending free time for leisure.
