송욱의 구제고교 체험과 『시학평전』의 반(反)낭만적 이상

Song Wook s Experience of Old High School and the Anti-Romantic Ideal of The Critical Biography of Poetics: An Essey on the Hermeneutic Coalition of Korean Modern Poetry Studies

이 논문의 목표는 송욱의 『시학평전(詩學評傳)』을 해방 이후의 시의 음악성, 보다 구체적으로는 낭만적 주관성 담론에 관한 맥락 속에서 독해하는 것이다. 이러한 맥락은 각각 송욱이 등단 이후 활동한 남한 문학장에서의 낭만주의적 경향의 연속, 그리고 송욱이 청소년기에 체험한 구제고등학교(舊制高等學校)에서의 쇼와 교양주의(昭和敎養主義)로 구체화된다. 이를 통해, 이 논문은 송욱의 『시학평전』에 함축된 반(反)세속화(Counter-Secularization) 지향과 그의 ‘음악성’에 대한 생각을 해명한다. 그리하여 송욱의 시학을 문화적 교양주의(Culturalism) 또는 낭만적 표현주의(Romantic Expressivism)에 대한 지양(止揚)이라는 한국시의 정신사적 맥락 속에 위치시키고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to read Song Wook s The Critical Bio graphy of Poetics in the context of poetry s musicality, more specifica lly, Romantic subjectivity discourse after liberation. Each of these con texts is shaped as a series of Romantic drift in the South Korean liter ary field after Song Wook s debut, and Showa Culturalism at Old Hig h School that Song Wook experienced during his adolescence. Throug h this, this study explains Counter-Secularization orientation and a Id ea of “musicality” in The Critical Biography of Poetics. Thus, this st udy places Song Wook s poetics in the context of Korean poetry s spi ritual history as a sublation of Culturalism or Romantic Expressivism.
