고성 문암리 유적 경작유구의 재검토

A Review of the Neolithic Fields in Munamri-ri at Goseong

고성 문암리 유적에서 이랑과 고랑을 갖춘 신석기시대 경작유구(하층밭)이 조사되었다. 그러나 신석기시대 중기 주거지와 하층밭의 중복양상, 상·하층밭의 층위관계, 자연과학 분석 결과 등으로 볼 때 이 유구가 신석기시대 중기에 사용되었을 가능성은 높지 않은 것으로 보인다. 유구의 토층관계와 자연과학분석결과는 하층밭이 역사시대 이후의 경작층이거나 상층밭의 하단부일 가능성을 높게 시사하고 있다. 물론 하층밭이 신석기시대에 조성되었을 가능성을 완전히 배제할 수는 없다. 하지만 치밀한 분석과 연구를 통한 검증 없이 최고, 최초라는 이름아래 무비판적으로 수용되는 일은 없어야 할 것이다.

In 2012, Neolithic fields were excavated in Munam-ri at Goseong. Two layers of fields were excavated from the ruins, of which the upper layer was reported as Joseon Dynasty and the lower layer was reported as Neolithic. Neolithic fields were first excavated not only in Korean Peninsula but also in East Asia. However, it is unlikely that it was used during the Neolithic period based on the overlapping patterns of the settlements and the lower field cultivation layer, the level relationship, and the results of natural science analysis. Rather, it suggests that the field is likely to be a cultivated layer after the historic period or a lower part of the upper field cultivation layer. Of course, this field may have been created during the Neolithic period. But it should not be accepted uncritically without careful analysis and research.
