노인일자리사업 참여가 삶의 질에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구

A Study on the Effect of Participation in Senior Employment Program on the Quality of Life

노인일자리사업에 참여하는 노인들의 삶의 질에 미치는 효과에 대한 경험적 연구들은 일관성 있는 결과를 보여주지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 노인일자리사업 참여가 삶의 질에 미치는 효과를 메타분석(meta analysis)에 의해 살펴보고, 이를 통하여 효과크기(effect size)를 검증해보고자 한다. 메타분석을 실시한 결과, 노인일자리사업 참여가 삶의 질에 미치는 효과에서는 통계적으로 유의한 작은 효과크기(=0.0671)의 영향을 미친다. 그리고 생활 만족도에 미치는 효과는 통계적으로 유의한 중간 효과크기(=0.1467)의 영향을 미치지만, 삶의 만족도에 미치는 효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 전반적으로 노인일자리사업의 참여가 삶의 질에 긍정적인 영향을 미치므로, 노인 자신들의 가치와 노후생활의 보람을 느끼도록 다양한 일자리 창출과 프로그램 개발이 선행되어야 할 것이다.

Despite the number of empirical literature, no consistent conclusions have been drawn regarding the effect of participation in senior employment program on the quality of life. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of participation in senior employment program on the quality of life through meta-analysis, and to verify the effect size. In result, participation in senior employment program have a statistically significant small effect(=0.0671) on the quality of life. Also participation in senior employment program have a statistically significant middle effect(=0.1467) on living satisfaction, but not on life satisfaction. Overall, participation in senior employment program has a positive effect on the quality of life. Therefore, Senior employment program development should be preceded in order to increase the value of the senior life.
