부모의 자율성지지가 대학생의 진로적응성에 미치는 영향

The Influence of Parental Autonomy Support on Career Adaptability of University Students: Mediating effect of Career goal discrepancy and Strengths use

이 연구에서는 대학생의 진로적응성에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 부모의 자율성지지, 강점활용, 진로목표불일치의 중요성을 확인하고, 부모의 자율성지지와 진로적응성의 관계에서 강점활용과 진로목표불일치의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 2018년 11월 30일부터 2018년 12월 5일까지 웹기반 설문기관을 통해 전국의 4년제 대학생 330명을 대상으로 부모의 자율성지지, 진로적응성, 강점활용, 진로목표불일치에 대한 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 부모의 자율성지지는 진로적응성, 강점활용과 유의미한 정적상관이, 진로목표불일치와는 유의미한 부적상관이 있었다. 둘째, 부모의 자율성지지와 진로적응성의 관계에서 강점활용과 진로목표불일치의 순차적인 부분매개효과가 있었다. 이 연구의 결과는 대학생의 진로적응을 향상시키기 위해서는 부모가 자녀의 자율성을 지지하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다. 또한 진로적응에 어려움을 겪고 있는 대학생들에 대한 상담에서 강점활용과 진로목표불일치를 다루는 것이 진로적응성을 높이는데 도움이 됨을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not strengths use and career goal discrepancy played a mediating role in the association between parental autonomy support and career adaptability. For this purpose, 330 four-year university students nationwide were surveyed on parental autonomy support, career adaptability, strengths use and career goal discrepancy through Web-based survey institutions from Nov. 30, 2018 to Dec. 5, 2018. The findings were as follows. First, parental autonomy support showed a significant positive relationship with career adaptability, strengths use and negative relationship with career goal discrepancy. Second, Strengths use and career goal discrepancy played mediating role between parental autonomy support and career adaptability in a sequential manner. This results of the study suggest that it is important for parents to support their children s autonomy to improve their career adaptations. It also suggests that addressing strengths use and career goal discrepancy can be helpful in improving career adaptability in counselling university students who are struggling with career adaptation.
