The Effect of Heterosexual Interest, Appearance Interest, and Color Make-up Behavior on Interpersonal Relationships and Moderating Effects of Heterosexual Relationship Experiences in Girls’ Middle and High School Students

본 연구의 목적은 중·고등학교 여학생들의 이성관심, 외모관심, 색조화장이 대인관계에 미치는 영향과 그 과정에서 학생들의 이성교제 경험이 조절 역할을 하는지를 알아보는 데에 있었다. 대상은 경기도와 서울의 중학생 65명, 고등학생 168명, 총 233명이다. 학생들은 모두 자발적으로 모바일 전자설문에 응하였다. 조사는 2019년 8월 5일부터 8일 사이에 이루어졌으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이성관심이 높을수록 외모관심은 높아지지만 색조화장 행동과 대인관계 행동은 높아지지 않았다. 둘째, 외모관심이 높을수록 색조화장 행동과 대인관계가 높아진다. 셋째, 이성관심이 외모관심과 색조 화장 행동에 각각 영향을 주어 대인관계에 간접적으로 정적 영향을 주었다. 넷째, 외모관심이 색조화장 행동과 대인관계에 영향을 줄 때 이성교제 경험 유무가 조절역할을 하였다. 이성 교제 경험이 있는 사람은 이성관심이 높을수록 색조화장을 덜하고, 외모 관심이 높을수록 더 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of heterosexual interests, interest in appearance, and Can you change this variable name to make it easier to understand? The participants were 65 middle school girls and 168 high school girls in Gyeonggi Province and Seoul. The students voluntarily completed a mobile electronic questionnaire. The survey took place between August 5 and 8, 2019. The research results are as follows: (1) first, the higher the heterosexual interest of students, the higher their interest in appearance, however, their heterosexual interests are not related to their color makeup behaviors; (2) second, the higher their interest in appearance, the higher their color makeup behaviors and their interpersonal relationships, and; (3) third, heterosexual interest directly affects appearance interest and color makeup behaviors and indirectly influences interpersonal relationships.
