유아의 부정적 정서에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식에 관한 연구

Study of Prospective Early Childhood Educators Perception to a Child s Negative Emotions

본 연구는 유아의 부정적 정서에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 서울시에 위치한 대학교의 유아교육학과에 재학 중인 1학년 학생 276명을 연구대상자로 2018년 4월 1일부터 4월 25일까지 설문지를 구성하여 배포하고 자료를 수집하였으며 SPSS 21.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 예비유아교사는 유아의 부정적 정서에 대해 자연스럽게 경험하는 정서라고 인식하고 있으나, 부정적 정서를 건설적인 방법으로 표현하도록 격려하기보다는 부정적 정서를 일으키는 원인을 파악하여 문제를 해결해야 한다고 인식하였다. 유아의 성별이나 연령에 따라 유아의 부정적 정서유형이 다르게 나타나는 것으로 인식하였고, 유아의 성별과 연령, 정서유형에 따라 유아의 부정적 정서표출에 대한 교사의 반응이 달라야 한다고 인식하였다. 예비유아교사들은 유아정서교육의 필요성을 느끼고 있었으며, 교육내용으로는 유아의 부정적 정서 출현에 효과적으로 대처하고 건설적으로 표현하도록 돕는 방법을 적용해 볼 수 있는 실제 경험을 원했다. 결론적으로 유아의 부정적 정서를 이해하고 공감하고 수용하는 교사가 되기 위해서 예비유아교사 양성과정에서부터 유아의 부정적 정서에 대한 올바른 생각과 가치관, 태도를 형성할 수 있는 실질적이고도 체계적인 정서교육이 이루어질 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine prospective early childhood educators perception to a child’s negative emotions. A total of 250 prospective early childhood educators in Seoul participated in this study. It conducts a questionnaire survey of 250 prospective early childhood educators with SPSS 21.0 statistical analysis. Prospective early childhood educators perceived that a child’s negative emotions was natural, significant experience. Prospective early childhood educators reaction to a child’s negative emotions perceived problem-focused responses than encouragement expression of emotion and emotion-focused responses. Also Prospective early childhood educators perceived that the reaction to a child’s negative emotions were different according to sex, age and the types of negative emotion. This study indicates that prospective early childhood educators needs a change of perception to become a early childhood teacher that accept and understand a child’s negative emotions. Prospective early childhood educators needs practical and systematic education to handle a child’s negative emotions.
