멘토교사로서 유아교사의 멘토링 행동 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구

The Development and Validation of Mentoring Behavior as a Mentor Scale for Early Childhood Teachers

본 연구에서는 유아교사의 멘토링 행동 척도를 개발하고 신뢰도 및 타당도를 검증하였다. 멘토링 행동 척도 개발을 위한 기초문항을 개발하기 위해 2018년 12월부터 2019년 2월까지 문헌연구를 진행하였으며, 2019년 3월부터 3차에 걸쳐 유아교육전문가 집단에 내용타당도를 검증받았다. 2019년 5월 8일 부터 6월 12일까지 서울, 경기, 대전에 위치한 유치원과 어린이집에 재직 중인 유아교사 328명을 대상으로 본조사를 실시하였다. 척도의 타당도 및 신뢰도를 확인하기 위해 Cramer’s V, t-test, 탐색적 요인분석(EFA), Pearson 상관관계 분석, 확인적 요인분석(CFA), Cronbach’s α 계수를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 유아교사의 멘토링 행동 척도는 총 37문항으로 구성되었으며, 하위요인은 정서적 공감 및 지원, 멘토링 역량, 멘토의 전문성 신장, 전문성 강화 지원의 4요인이었다. 본 척도의 신뢰도 범위는 .89∼.96, 전체 신뢰도는 .97로 나타났으며, 모형적합도 지수는 TLI=.96, CFI=.97, RMSEA=.09로 유아교사의 멘토 행동을 측정하기 위한 척도로서 신뢰롭고 타당한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a mentoring behavior as a mentor scale for early childhood teachers and to examine the reliability and the validity of the scale developed. The content validity about preliminary items had been tested three times by 4 experts in early childhood education. Based on the expert’s opinion, 63 items were finally selected. In order to verify validity and reliability of each item on mentoring behavior as a mentor, data has been collected from 328 teachers working at kindergartens and daycare centers in Seoul, KyeongGi-do and Daejeon province. The mentoring behavior scale for early childhood teachers consisted of 37 items containing 4 factors: emotional empathy and support, mentoring competency, improvement of professionalism for a mentor, and support for professional development of mentee. The reliability of the scale Cronbach’s α was ranged from .89 to .96. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed that RMSEA is .09, TLI is .96, and CFI is .97. These resualts show the mentoring be scale as a mentor for early childhood teachers developed is reliable and valid.
