City Tourism in Novi Sad and Analysis of Elements of Satisfaction

Due to its geographical location, natural features and cultural heritage, Novi Sad could become a significant destination of urban tourism. Since the beginning of its existence, Novi Sad has changed several states and rulers. Historical circumstances affected the morphological characteristics of the city, as well as the function of the settlement, which was initially strategic, and it is now mostly focused on secondary and tertiary part of the economy. The city, which uses six official languages, is a unique combination of cultures of different nations and as such has the ideal conditions for the application of the concept of the creative city. The purpose of this paper is to research the elements of satisfaction and the elements of discontent of the surveyed tourists who stayed in Novi Sad. Mentioned research enabled us to find out where the city tourism in Novi Sad stands today, in order to be able to plan its development in future.
