디지털 한국어 교재 개발을 위한 기초 연구

A Basic Study on the Development of Korean Digital Textbooks

이 연구는 한국어교육 분야에서의 디지털 교육 환경 구축을 위한 기초연구로서 디지털 한국어 교재의 기반을 마련하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 학교 교육에서 사용 중인 디지털 교과서의 실제 구성을 살펴본 후 한국어 디지털 교재 개발의 기반이 되는 구조적 틀을 제안하였다. 그리고 이에 대한 학습자 인식 조사를 통해 디지털 한국어 교재 개발의 필요성과 방향성을 확인하였다. 디지털 교재는 서책형 교재에 디지털 매체의 특성이 더해져 실제적이고 유의적으로 언어 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 도와주며, 자기 주도적 학습 및 상호작용의 촉진을 가져온다는 의의를 갖는다. 국내 중·고등학교에서 사용하고 있는 디지털 교과서의 실제 구성을 살펴본 결과, 디지털 교재의 구조를 기능과 목적에 따라 크게 교수·학습자료, 평가 및 학습 관리, 학습 확장, 디지털 상호작용으로 설계할 수 있었다. 이 모형을 토대로 설문 문항을 구성하여 학습자 인식 조사를 실시하였으며, 학습자의 디지털 한국어 교재 사용에 대한 인식, 교수·학습 자료에 대한 인식, 평가 및 학습 관리에 대한 인식, 디지털 상호작용에 대한 인식을 확인하였다. 조사 결과, 대부분의 학습자들이 디지털 한국어 교재 사용에 긍정적인 반응을 보이고 있었으며, 풍부한 교수·학습 자료제공과 자기 주도적 학습에 대해 높은 기대를 가지고 있었다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 기존의 서책형 교재가 가지는 한계를 극복하고 디지털 네이티브인 새로운 세대의 학습자를 충족시킬 수 있는 디지털 한국어 교재의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

As a basic study for the establishment of a digital education environment in the Korean language education field, this study aims to provide a foundation for the development of digital Korean language textbooks. For this, observations were made of the actual composition of digital textbooks being used in schools, and based on these, the structure of digital textbooks was presented. Additionally, through learners’ needs analysis, the need and direction for digital Korean language textbooks were confirmed. Digital textbooks add the characteristics of digital media to paper textbooks, aiding in the provision of practical and significant language learning experiences; they are also significant in that they promote self-directed learning and interaction. Observations of the actual compositions of digital textbooks being used in domestic middle and high schools show that according to functions and purposes, the digital textbook structure could be largely designed as a teaching and learning material, for evaluation and learning management, learning expansion, and digital interaction. Based on this structure, survey questions were composed, learners’ needs analysis was conducted, and confirmations were made regarding the need of the digital Korean language textbooks for learners, as a teaching and learning material, for evaluation and learning, and for digital interaction. Survey results showed that most learners showed positive responses towards the use of digital Korean language textbooks and high expectations towards the provision of abundant teaching and learning material and selfdirected learning. Through such results, verifications were made of the need for digital Korean language textbooks that can overcome the limitations of existing paper textbooks and that can satisfy a new generation of learners who are digital natives.
