The purpose of the study is to investigate interactive effects of concept mapping, reading motivation and reading strategies on English reading comprehension. The study examined concept mapping could help students enhance English reading comprehension. It furthermore explored the relative effects of concept mapping depending on students’ reading strategies and reading motivation. A total of 177 college students participated in this study and they were assigned to one of two groups, the experiment group (n=86) and the control group (n=91). The participants were also divided into high groups and low groups according to the results of the reading strategies and reading motivation survey. The experiment group read English texts using concept mapping while the control group studied the same English texts without using concept mapping. The results indicated that concept mapping had a statistically significant effect on the enhancement of the students’ English reading comprehension. The interaction both between learners’ English reading strategies and concept mapping treatment and between English reading motivation and concept mapping treatment were also significantly effective.
