2018년 교육부에서 주관한 “함께하는 뮤지컬” 동아리 지원 교육프로그램은 과정 중심의 창작 뮤지컬 교육 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 “함께하는 뮤지컬”의 학교폭력 예방교육 효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. “함께하는 뮤지컬”에 참여한 집단과 타 동아리 활동에 참여한 통제 집단의 인지적 공감, 정서적 공감, 사회적 기술을 비교하는 양적 연구와 함께 교사와 학생을 대상으로 하는 질적 연구를 진행하였다. “함께하는 뮤지컬” 참여 학생들의 공감 능력이 통제 집단의 공감 능력 평균보다 높게 나타났다. 또한, 학교폭력 가해자와 피해자의 입장을 간접적으로 경험함으로써 정서적 공감 능력과 사회적 기술이 유의미하게 향상된 것이 양적 연구와 질적 연구 모두에서 확인되었다. “에듀 뮤지컬”은 타인의 감정 상태에 대한 공감 부족에서 비롯되는 학교 폭력을 예방하는 데 매우 적합한 능동적인 예술교육이다.
The “School of Musical”, organized by the Ministry of Education, is a process-oriented musical education program. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of School of Musical in preventing school violence. We conducted a quantitative research comparing the cognitive empathy, emotional empathy, and social skills of the group participating in the “School of Musical” with those of the control group participating in the activities of other clubs, as well as qualitative research on teachers and students. The students who participated in the “School of Musical” had a higher EQ than those in the control group. It was confirmed that both emotional empathy and social skills significantly improved by indirectly experiencing the positions of victims and victims of school violence in both quantitative and qualitative studies. “Edu Musical” is an active art education suitable for preventing school violence arising from lack of empathy for others emotional state.
