작업실의 위치와 운영방식이 작가의 작품 활동에 미치는 직·간접적 영향요인에 관한 분석 연구

An Analytical Study on Direct and Indirect Influential Factors of Workroom Location and Management Methods that Affect the Work Activities of Artists - Focused on Craft Artists Who Create Work in Workrooms

본 연구의 목적은 작업실의 위치 및 다양한 운영방식과 공간을 사용하는 공예작가의 전반적인 작품 활동과의 상관관계를 사례 검토, 작품특성 고찰, 공예작가 심층 인터뷰조사를 통해 분석하여 작업실의 환경과 운영방식이 공예작가의 작품 활동에 미치는 직간접적인 영향요인을 확인하는데 있다. 작업실의 위치와 주변 환경은 사용자와의 소통빈도, 작품재료의 원활한 수급 여부, 작품제작의 집중도 등의 영향요인을 가지고 있으며, 작업실의 운영방식은 타 공예작가와의 교류여부, 효율적인 작품제작 공간 확보 등에 대한 영향을 가져올 수 있다. 공예작가의 작업실은 각각의 위치와 단독 또는 공동 사용 여부, 직접 또는 입주에 의한 간접 운영 여부에 따라 작품제작, 홍보 등의 작가 활동이 다양한 방식으로 표출될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between workroom location and various management methods and the general work activities of craft artists who use those spaces through case examinations, work characteristic studies, and in-depth interview surveys with craft artists to verify direct and indirect influential factors of workroom environments and management methods that affect the work activities of craft artists. Workroom locations and environments have influential factors such as communication frequency with users, the smooth supply and demand of work material, and the concentration of work production and workroom management methods can affect communication with other craft artists and the securement of effective work production space. Verifications were made that artist activities such as work production and promotion could be expressed in various ways according to details of the workrooms of craft artists, including location and whether the workroom is for independent or shared use, and whether it is directly managed or indirectly managed through residential use.
