SBAR를 이용한 핵심기본간호술 실습이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결 능력에 미치는 효과

Effects of the SBAR Training Program in Essential Fundamental Nursing Skills on Communication Competence, Critical Thinking Disposition and Problem-Solving Ability of Nursing Students

본 연구는 SBAR를 이용한 핵심기본간호술 실습교육 프로그램이 간호대학생의 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고능력, 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과를 확인하고자 수행되었다. 연구설계는 단일군 전-후 유사실험연구(one group pre - post test design)이며, 연구의 대상은 B시 소재 일개 대학 간호학과 3학년 학생 총 53명이었다. 연구 기간은 2017년 8월 28일부터 11월 3일까지였다. 2주간 진행되는 실습기간에 따라 각 그룹의 인원은 4∼5명으로 구성하여 SBAR 도구에 대한 교육을 실시하고 시나리오를 근거로 임상사례 보고서를 작성하게 한 후 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결능력에 대한 사전조사를 실시하였다. 이후 시나리오 기반 핵심기본간호술기 실습 시 SBAR 형식에 의한 보고 훈련을 시행한 후 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고성향, 문제해결능력 항목과 함께 교육만족도를 측정하였다. 연구 결과 의사소통능력은 SBAR 적용 실습 이후 향상되기는 하였으나, 통계학적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 비판적 사고성향은 사전 3.75점에서 사후 3.94점으로(t=-3.523, p=.001), 문제해결능력은 사전 3.32점에서 사후 3.40점으로(t=-2.073, p=.042) 유의하게 향상되었다. 본 연구는 체계적인 SBAR 적용이 핵심기본간호술 교육에서도 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향, 문제해결능력 향상을 도모할 수 있는 교육 방안 중의 하나임을 확인하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study was done to identify the effects of the SBAR training program in essential fundamental nursing skills on communication competence, critical thinking disposition and problem-solving ability of nursing students. It was designed one group pre - post test. The participants were 53 nursing students 3rd grade. The study period was from August 28 to November 3, 2017. According to the two-weeks training period, each group consists of four or five people trained on the SBAR tool, and prepared a clinical case report based on the scenario. We conducted a preliminary survey on communication competence, critical thinking disposition and problem solving ability. Subsequently, in the scenario-based essential fundamental nursing skills practice, SBAR reporting training was conducted, and communication competence, critical thinking disposition and problem solving ability were measured along with educational satisfaction. As a result, critical thinking disposition improved from 3.75 to 3.94(t=-3.623, p=.001) and problem solving ability improved from 3.32 to 3.40(t=-2.073, p=.042). Although communication competence improved after SBAR application, there was no statistically significant difference. The purpose of this study is to confirm that systematic application of SBAR is one of the effective educational methods to improve the critical thinking and problem solving ability of nursing students in the essential fundamental nursing skills education.
